APEDA Certification

The APEDA is known as Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority. It was established by the govt. of India under agricultural and processed food products export development authority act passed by the Parliament in December, 1985. From 13th Februrary, 1986, the Act (2 of 1986) came into effect by a notification issued in the Gazette of India.

WHAT IS APEDA CERTIFICATION ?

Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is an agency of Government of India constituted to further the development of export of scheduled products by way of providing financial assistance.

APEDA is to promote export & development of schedule products, to achieve this objective various functions has been assigned by the central government to this body. The central Government is controlling authority of this body.

The authority need to carry out the direction given and to implement the rules framed by the central government for carrying out the purposes & efficient administration of this Act.

It’s a mandatory registration by the exporters of scheduled products (Agriculture and Processed Food Products). It is a one-time registration. It enables the registered exporter to apply for financial assistance schemes of APEDA.
